Oct 26, 2:34 AM ET: MDA said its crews were taking the boy, about 10, to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in “moderate” condition with a head injury. News sites Walla and JDN reported “moderate.”
Both posts came out two minutes apart about the same boy, but they describe his injuries differently. Which is it?
The proof
Their statement: 2:36 AM ET, Oct 26, 2026 — Ichud Hatzalah of Israel 1221 Telegram: its medics gave first aid to “a 10-year-old boy who was riding the bicycle and was seriously injured,” and he was taken to hospital “in serious condition.” The post says its paramedic arrived first. It does not say who took the boy to hospital or which hospital.
The record: 2:34 AM ET — MDA: a car hit a boy on a bicycle on Yona Ben Amitai Street in Beit Shemesh. MDA’s EMTs and paramedics were treating him and taking him to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, “a boy of about 10 in moderate condition, with a head injury.” Walla and JDN reported “moderate.”
Which is it? How badly someone is hurt can be judged differently at first; which assessment is right is unproven.
